Japanese Pitcher Inks Deal
With The Chico Outlaws

Eri Yoshida, Japanese Knuckleball Pitcher, Has Signed With The Chico Outlaws Of The Independent Golden Baseball League on Friday. Yoshida, 18, Played Pro Ball In Japan Last Year; Sets For Spring Training, In May.

After Last Season With The Kobe Cruise 1 Of 9 Japan's Kansai Independent League Team's, Yoshida Now In The States & Becoming the 1st Woman To Play Pro Since Ila Borders Retired A Decade Ago. Borders Pitched For Handful Of Independent Leagues From 97'-00'. Outlaws Will Have A Separate Locker Room; On The Road Separate Hotel Accommodations For Yoshida.

The Golden League Consists Of 10 Teams In California, Arizona, Canada & Mexico. Outlaws Start The Season In Tijuana May 21st.
