NBA: CELTICS

Game 3 Tie Series
?Questions ? Cavs?
"I had a lot to say to the guys about our performance, I thought we need to develop a sense of urgency in this series & throughout our run. I thought why not have last night be a good start to that. I have complete faith & trust in the players & our medical staff, & at any time if anyone is hurting, I'm in the loop, We're going to keep going to the big fella because he's going to have to score for us down there to loosen it up for the rest of our guys, has got to step up. He's an All-Star & we need him to make solid plays, He doesn't have to hit eight shots in a row like he did in Game 1, but he's got to be solid defensively & a threat offensively. If you asked him how he played, I think he would say the same."
-Cavs Coach Brown.

"He would tell me if he was really hurting to a point where he couldn't play, He's fine. He don't want to sit & bark about an injury. He don't want to hear about it. He doesn't make excuses. He does what he has to do to get ready to play & he's going to play. That's true, We can't overreact, We know the things that we need to do to improve. It's a long series. It's going to be a great series. There are going to be ups & downs, but for the most part we know what we have to do. At the end of the day, it's about the first team to four (WINS)"
-Cavs Guard Mo Williams
No Lead Is Ever Safe.
Celtics Proved Themselves Indeed With Ray Allen's Larry Bird Like Performance & Kevin Garnett Turning Back On His Paint Game.

"We were stuck on 91 points for an hour it felt like, I just kept telling our guys ‘the clock is still moving.’ We need 1 bucket. We just need somebody to make 1 shot."
 -Celtics Coach Doc Rivers
“We knew what happened last time when we let up, Doc said we’ve got to keep taking punches. When they throw punches we’ve got to take them & keep coming.’’
 -Kendrick Perkins
Erasing Bob Cousy From The Celtics’ Record Book's, Rajon Rondo Set The Franchise’s Post-Season Record For Assists In A Game 19, Tying 19 He Had In Triple Over-Time Against Chicago In The 1st Round Last Year.
Celtics Shot 51% & Cavs 40%.
Rasheed Wallace, Had His Biggest Post-Season Game. Team-High 13 Points @ The Half & 5 for 5 & 3 for 3 On 3-Pointers & 2 Rebounds.

"We knew they were going to make a run because they’re @ home & they’re a good team,  But I thought we withstood that & made a run of our own & shut the game down after that."
-Garnett

"When we went up, we kind of relaxed like we were surprised that we were up, We’ve got to know that we’re a great team. We’ve got to know that we’re a team that can play with this team, the Cavaliers. We can’t give them any hope. We can’t give them any sunlight. We’ve got to let them know we’re going to beat them."
-Glen Davis

Celtics finished Off A 104-86 Game 2 Victory.
10 Years, Only 1 Time A Top Seed Lost @ Home By A larger Margin.
Cleveland's 104-86 Loss Ties 2nd Worst Home Loss For A Top Seed, Indiana's 83-65 Loss To Detroit In 04'. Topped Only By San Antonio's 113-91 Loss To Dallas In 06'.
