BROWNS FANS NEED TO HAVE THIS MOTTO,
"KEEP AN OPEN MIND"
The Browns have acquired the rights to QB Seneca Wallace in a trade with the Seahawks. The Browns give up an undisclosed 2011 draft pick. The trade is contingent upon Wallace passing a physical, which isn't expected to take place until Wednesday. Wallace, 29, has 7 years of NFL experience, all with the Seahawks. He started 14 games at QB & played in 34 others, completing 60 percent of his passes & throwing 25 TD's. His best season came in 2008, when he threw 11 touchdowns & just 3 interceptions while making a career-high 8 starts in Mike Holmgren's final year as the Seahawks head coach. Holmgren, now the Browns president, has said in recent weeks that solving the QB question was a top priority. He said late last week that the Browns were actively pursuing QB's in the trade & free agent markets. In Wallace he gets an athletic prospect who also has some experience playing WR. He was a 4th-round pick out of Iowa State in 2003. Wallace's career #'s include 333 completions on 556 attempts, 3,547 passing yards, the 25 TD's & a cumulative QB rating of 83.1
IS THIS IT? I DON'T THINK SO, A FAN NAMED BILL BOEHLKE THINKS WALLACE IS HERE SOLELY TO TEACH THE BROWNS THE WEST COAST OFFENSE. BUT LETS LOOK @ HOLMGREN'S TRACK RECORD. 11 OUT OF 14 YEARS HOLMGREN HAS DRAFTED A QB. LETS TAKE A LOOK.
Holmgren said;
"My track record of drafting a QB on a regular basis is by design."
When he was head coach in Green Bay:
Ty Detmer (Round 9, 1992)
Mark Brunell (Round 5, 1993)
Jay Barker (Round 5, 1995)
Kyle Wachholtz (Round 7, 1996)
Ronnie McAda (Round 7, 1997)
Matt Hasselbeck (Round 6, 1998)
When Holmgren was head coach at Seattle:
Brock Huard (Round 3, 1999)
Josh Booty (Round 6, 2001)
Jeff Kelly (Round 7, 2002)
Seneca Wallace (Round 4, 2003)
David Greene (Round 3, 2005).
All 11 QB's were “His guys.”
There's a pattern to Holmgren's QB drafting history,
He never picked 1 before the 3rd round.
In fact, most were taken in the 6th or 7th round,
& he was trying to build a team in many of those instances.

Cleveland Browns terminated the contract of
QB Derek Anderson
??????
Surprised? DON'T BE. This was expected for some time.
Anderson had a $2 million roster bonus & the Browns wont pay that.
Anderson has been garbage since THE FLUKE of 07'.
The last 2 seasons, he completed less than 48% of his passes for 12 TD's & 18 interceptions.
Holmgren has said that he’d like to pick a QB before the start of training camp;
so as of now it’s between Quinn, Wallace or a drafted QB.
LUCKY for his FLUKE of 07',
it will buy him another opportunity,
but again he will have to compete for a starting job. Cardinals are 1 team rumored to have interest,
& the Bills as well.
