3 Straight Overall World Cup Titles
Lindsey won the women’s Super-G on Fri to be crowned alpine skiing’s overall World Cup champion for the 3rd consecutive year. Standing on the top of the mountain before the race, Lindsey already was the best skier in the world for the 3rd year in a row. She didn’t even have to make her last run, but she raced anyway & won today’s super-G in Garmisch–Partenkirchen to become the most accomplished skier the U.S. has ever had Lindsey also won the titles in the downhill, the super-G & combined events this season. She’s now the American with most World Cup wins @ 33. Bode Miller has 32. Lindsey won the super-G on the Kandahar course in 1 min, 19.30 sec.
