MATT JAMES: XAVIER HIGH SCHOOL & Notre Dame Recruit Dies @ 17, Cincinnati Mourns

Xavier High School Star Football Player From Cincinnati Who Was Recruited By Notre Dame Died After Falling From A Hotel Balcony While On Spring Break In Panama City Beach, Florida.
Students @ St. Xavier High School Gathered On The Football Field Friday Night To Remember Sr. Matt James Following The Reports Of His Death. James, 17, Died Instantly After He Fell From A 3rd-Floor Balcony @ Days Inn Motel Around 6:30 P.M. Friday, Cops Told WJHG-TV In Panama City. The School Was "Devastated" By The News. Word Of James' Death Spread Through Social-Networking Sites Such As Facebook.

The Cause Of The Fall Is Being Investigated, & Officials Planned To Do A Toxicology Tests. 6'6", 290-lb Offensive Lineman Was A All-City; All-State Football Player For St. Xavier; & Signed A Letter Of Intent Feb. 2 To Play For Notre Dame. He Also Was A Member Of The High School's Varsity Basketball Team. James' Family Received The News @ A Gathering To Celebrate The 50th Birthday Of An Uncle Dan Rudolph, Who Of Course Attended The Gathering & Whose Son Kyle Rudolph Is A Notre Dame Tight End.

A Outpouring Of Love & Support Have Been Posted All Over Matt James Facebook Page Since His Death.
His Life Was Ended Way Too Soon.
James Was On Spring Break With Another
